Muglugger Story

ONCE I STARTED FEELING BETTER, I TURNED MY ATTENTION BACK TO MY CUP HOLDER IDEA.

And my own time in recovery and rehabilitation had given me my own experience and set of earned knowledge. I decided to call it the “Muglugger”; redesigning it based on what I witnessed and experienced during my own rehabilitation. I had spent a lot of time with people recovering from strokes, hip or knee replacements, or simply recovering from a fall or accident.

My original design was focused more on holding a cup of coffee, but I redesigned it to hold a paper cup of coffee by putting a small ring at the bottom to hold the cup in place. I also designed it to hold a plastic water bottle or even a tumbler with a straw sticking out of the top.

But the most important feature of all is its durability. The Muglugger is truly built to last! Once it is installed, it will not come loose.

Now some of you might need some assistance installing the base as it does require shooting two #10 self-drilling screws. To begin, you simply peel the protective film off the base and stick it on to the tubing vertically, or horizontally, depending on your need. The adhesive makes installation a little easier by holding the base in place while you shoot the two self-drilling screws in (we give you one extra screw just in case the old school way).

Next, place the cup holder over the base and you are ready to go; nothing will come loose and there is nothing to retighten! If you put your walker or wheelchair in your vehicle, just slide the cup holder off and set it aside so that it is not damaged in transport.

The Muglugger, unlike most of the cup holders on the market, is specifically designed for walkers and wheelchairs. It is 100% made in the USA. In fact, it is entirely made and packaged in my hometown of Piqua, Ohio!

The Muglugger is designed and built the old-school way – right down to the extra screw. It is built with pride and a caring compassion to all who encounter disabilities in their life.

It is not only an end to a story that has shaped and humbled me, but it is also a testament that out of something bad, something good really can take root. Remember “Tough times don’t last but tough people do”.

Thank you for your interest in the Muglugger!
